NetBrix - “Where your web gets Done!”

I have this cool friend, who is a logo designer by the way. She recently gave me a lot of “gyaan” about marketting oneself and using the internet to promote my services etc. The first thing I did was logon to linkedin and start sending out invites. I’ve had moderate success as in it’s gotten me a place where I can see a lot of my clients (and they happily accepted my invites…. which is so nice of them all thank you)….. Just thought I’d say thank you Naina and here’s hoping your advise helps out in the long run

Al is a dear friend….. he’s left instructions with his wife that if something were to happen to him and she didn’t know what to do with the sites she was to switch on his laptop and let yahoo logon and then look for a guy named Imtiaz he would help out…… sweet and a big morale boost…..
I was helping him setup skalinks on his server which hosts one of his million sites Traffictech and he suggested that I should put my link on the site as well as on Support Software & Services - Skalinks…. well now that I am on steroids mode as far as promoting the site goes I said why not…..

Recently I was contacted by a gentleman from Madrid Spain. He needed to hire our video server setup service
That project went off well and then he hired me to fix a problem with his mail server and then another and another and so on (as the story goes with every other client). Finally I’m managing two of his servers where he sells hosting as well as hosts a number of his own sites. We take care of the security and server availability.

Definitely something that would push morale thru the clouds…..Well so whats the thing about T-Shirts????
Yesterday afternoon the postman delivered a parcel I thought maybe something from my mum as tomorrow is my b’day anyways….. opened it and there’s three T-shirts in there….. One was a very small size and the other two were perfect fits for me and my wife……. I was scratching my head and wondering when I spotted the logo of Javiers company on the back…. I was for a minute “stunned”!!! Then I remembered him wanting to send a small gift and requesting my address…….

Well the fact that I got a t-shirt from a client is not the big thing the big thing is the timing. Recently I had been doing a lot of soul searching over the way I work….. which is pretty much free form and unstructured…. as in no office no tables no real schedule…. I was trying to convince my wife to join in as we recently had our baby and it makes real good sense to now enjoy her as well as try and build something together…. her retort used to be “join what????”…. well yesterday she was more like “ok yes this is starting to make some sense”…..

Clients pay me enough to buy a truck load of t-shirts every week (well maybe not a truck load but near abouts)….. it’s the way Javier made that extra effort to send these three Tees that makes it all worthwhile….. and here’s a snippet from the follow up mail:

It makes me realy happy the gift arrived!! What a greats news, at the end is there directly from spain!! I also send you a little one for your baby, the smallest i have for when the baby grows up.
So really makes me happy to have surprised you friend, really happy :D
